Wake up in the mornin, head fulla lies Livin day to day with different alibis Ya got me in the afternoon pourin cement in the back of my head You don't play the game to win ya play to watch me dead Time goes faster when you lie Time goes faster when you lie Midnight rolls around, you finally call And all my troubles seem to fall But then you bust up outta nowhere with the news I played your game to win, but you're the one to lose Time goes faster when you lie Time goes faster when you lie Now I'm choppin up the pieces of my past Ain't got time to stall, my heart is burnin fast Gotta find a pretty mama who's long and true California sun for the Maryland blues Time goes faster when you lie And there's no better time There's no better time to fly

Leave my lunch by the door I don't wanna fight no more, just get back and we'll make dessert. Yeah you'll rattle me to my core, I don't wanna fight no more just leave my lunch by the door. Leave my lunch by the door, I don't wanna fight no more cause you're always messin around. Treated like a bore oh and you still want more, you still want more please; leave my lunch by the door. Leave my faith on the roof, if you're lookin for truth yeah it's right there carved on my face. Treated me like a goof oh and you still want proof, you still want proof please; leave my faith on the roof. Leave my feeling alone I might throw you a bone if you get back and we make some sweeet dessert like ooo ooooooooooo! Oh just leave my lunch...by...the...*your approach...*

Found a penny Multiply it by five Turn it into a dime, oh! Make a quarter dance, make a dollar sing Cause I'm makin counterfeit money With you and me in my room Oh, your body is the paper baby Oh, and your ink it never dries Up all night Assembly line Workin on perfection till the mornin light Better watch out for those Feds babe Oh, cause it surely be a crime Uncirculated, babe Fine and rare Near mint condition babe Ooo, with long brown hair No the presidents they don't mind, don't mind Cause you know we make a priceless pair

Hunger Pains 03:56
Every step, every pedal to the floor Every cheap shot keeps me wanting more And I'm always biting off more than I can chew Every mile marker babe, all the vistas Keepin pace just to fill my tank I'm still bitin off more than I put away Yeah you can uproot a tree, but you can't stop the tree from growing Yeah, we're growing everyday Every sight, every appetizing sound Never starved, I buried all my rations in the ground...deep Oh I bited off, more than I can scrounge I'm that crab in the Chesapeake And I'm still crawling on my feet And I'm biting off more than I can eat Uproot a tree, but don't stop that tree from growin, oh no you can't! Uproot a tree, but don't stop that tree from growin We're growin everyday
6.
Sailin' 03:20
I've been sailin' Sailin' round this big ole world aw yea I've been sailin' Sailin' round this big ole world aw yea And when I'm done I will come sailin' home to you Now I'm shufflin' Shufflin' round the same ole house with you Now I'm shufflin' baby Shufflin' round the same ole house with you Oh babe I'm through! I've gotta sail to someplace new (dig...) Now I'm thinkin' Thinkin' maybe that this boat's got room fer two Now I'm thinkin' baby Thinkin' maybe that this boat's got room fer two And if we fight I just might throw you overboard, oh lord, oh lord, get out...

Hand to Hold 04:23
My grammar ain't the best, and I'm broke as hell Spinning round and round in this wishing well Am I dead or alive, hard to tell And now you got me stuck inside your awful spell And I know my pockets aren't lined with gold Got a pretty good hand, and I refuse to fold Now my love for you could never be sold Now I need another hand to hold Don't misunderstand me babe I enjoy your company...but A man like me needs space to breath Oh, you're smothering me oh GOD you are! And I know my pockets aren't lined with gold Got a pretty good hand, and I refuse to fold Now my love for you is quickly growing mold And how I need another loving hand to hold Do you recognize yourself in your own skin? Just like your own kin, your own kin I am never sorry for my sins, so sin, sin... And I know my pockets aren't lined with gold Got a pretty good hand, and I refuse to fold Now my love for you went hot to cold And now I need another loving hand to hold
8.
Half-Awake 04:26
My brain is fulla pain but it's workin My soul is fulla coal but it's burnin My bones are fulla holes but I'm standin on my own two feet. There's asphalt underneath my skin And fire in my gut Clouds up in my cranium And a time bomb for a heart Oh this world is fulla liars and snakes Will we get a chance to break? Just get a chance to claim your stake Never live half-awake Sometimes this world has got you down Oh, wipe away that heavy frown! Find yourself another town and be free on your own two feet

Ain't got no salad Ain't got no steak Ain't got no appetizers for my plate But I got a cruel sense of humor Don't put me down Cause you don't get me I've been around, I've been around I don't discuss further orders Further orders with you Cause I feel blue, oh! Yeah they keep on callin Every corner, every city block There lies a man on a bench that says "The Greatest City in America" but, man he's not breathin. He hasn't been breathin for days. Lyin in the cold Lyin in the haze

about

When musician and audio engineer Paul Dutton heard Jeremy Fama's Soundcloud page of acoustic solo work, he knew he wanted to create an album. Without hesitation, the two native East Coasters reached out to a group of highly influential San Luis Obispo County musicians to collaborate on RIVER HAWK AT THE RAT PALACE. An eclectic ten track story of instrumentation and exploration.
